Windows 2000 - Whenever I Right Click On A Folder Using The Mouse
Function, Instead Of Opening The File, It Switched To Search Function. Please help to rectify... thanks!

Go to your Control Panel. Then go to Mouse. Once there select button configuration and set it from there. It may be a problem with your mouse configuration. What should happen when you right click on a folder is that you receive a drop down menu with choices such as open, search, etc. unless the properties have been changed.

maybe your mouse has a cold . you could open your mouse settings and re configure your settings to make it more comfortable . or update the driver ,for easier ride, or roll back to where your mouse wasn't feeling so bad .
i would try the update /or it already had and it needs to get setting redone .

It might be your system is affected by virus that's why or scan registry with Registry Mechanic i hope this might solve your problem
