The Nets' season is obviously lost. Should they just try to get better position in the draft by "resting their main guys"? I mean just a few slots higher, say... the tenth pick, is good enough to get them a quality big. Good job keeping Vince and Jason. I'm not too enamored on giving away Kidd so I think they should trade him away to get a better pick if their pick is not that high. Obviously they aren't getting the top two picks no matter what so if they can get even the third that would do wonders for them.

Oh come on, sure they could make the playoffs, I mean they have talent. But will they be able to do anything in the playoffs? I don't think they have what it takes right now to advance past the first round. Sure you have to support your team but you have to be realistic and know when it's time to blow it all up and start over. What do you think would happen if Rod Thorn never worried about the future and just kept caring about the here and now?

Well if you think about it the Nets have a decent bench. Nachbar has been fantastic, House has his moments, Wright can do some things if given playing time, Hassan Adams and Marcus Williams have been ok as well

Vince Carter can still walk away at the end of the season because he has that option on his contract.

The Nets have been so damn inconsistent this year. Every time they close in on the .500 mark, they lose stupid games. The latest incident being against the Celtics and Sixers. And this coming before the Texas road trip!! They better win some games on that trip or this season might be over!!

No, it's not worth it. Nenad is a pretty decent big, although you are right about the Nets needing another big. The only quality big in this draft is Oden, the rest are just potential-laced. They play in the Eastern Conference, they have a chance of doing things in the playoffs (especially if Jefferson is healthy). I think just go out there and play. By the way, they are already doing a good job of losing games while Kidd and VC are playing big minutes.

I personally think that if they got rid of Jason Kidd, and go after some big men, they will be a better team next year. Their problem is, they have no bench that they can rely on.

you are not a true fan if you give up on the season. don't think about the future, worry about the here and now. what if they went on a twenty game win streak to end the year. they may not make the playoffs but what better way to start next season. so root for your team to win everuy nght or else i question your love for the game.

hell no,they still have a chance to make the postseason. they could really suprise some teams there especially if carter becomes more consistent and they get better play from their bench.
