i was wondering if there was an actual name for something like this: (wether it be psychologically or spiritually)
someone who embodies 1-trait/ideal/mannerism/etc. yet at the same time also embodies the extreme opposite of that trait. at the same time. however both traits are very strong. so their thoughts and behaviors are trying to be balanced between these two extremes. does this make any sense? so its always a type of balancing act between these two very different, very opposite, things. almost as if the person embodies everything all at once, yet the actions taken following these traits all depends on which one is higher at the moment. oh boy i hope this makes sense.

My first thought is the Yin and the Yang of Oriental Spirituality and it's balance. I read your details carefully and it's very interesting. I am wondering if you are feeling anxiety and an upset in your stomach at times. Are you feeling torn right now?

Is there someone you trust? I would suggest asking if they might refer you to a doctor who can evaluate your daily reactions and find out if you are confused by something in your environment, such as small children or neighbors? You sound torn between feelings and many people are feeling that way right now. Do not think you are alone.

Know that there is help and management available but the first step is finding the right person to help. Once you find them (maybe a local clinic for depression and anxiety) you will begin to find a remedy for the confusion you are feeling today. I pray you find the right person the first time you take that step. Be well. @8-)

If the trait you are referring to is a mood, then this person may have a mood disorder. If you are talking about more than 1 trait (and I'm not sure what you mean by trait without a specific example), and the mood swings are not involved, then I (or the Doctor) would need more information. Mood swings that last for weeks/months could indicate a Bipolar condition.

Makes perfect sense.
I am a very loving and compassionate person when with living peole, but my overall ideas on politics and all kinds of things are very removed, logical, and harsh!
So, it's hard for me to know what to do sometimes!
PS My grandfather was let go after the third time he turned blue. It was amazing that my grandmother even let them try to save him a second time, as her own parents were Christian Scientists who almost let her die at 21 of scarlet fever. So, very close in my blood line is the notion that death should jsut come whenit comes, and that we are overpopulated and paying way too much for drug companies and nursing homes and it's ruining us.
But could I let my own lover die, lie my logic says?
Gee, I think it would take two or three times...
you see?

other than human nature, i think the shrinks label it as manic-depressive or something, and prescribe drugs so they can make the payments on their bms's and third vacation homes.
