your engine got too overheated and you kept on driving and you have ruined your rings and possibly your cylinder walls. They have been scorched. You need to do a top end job. Next time don't run your car after it starts to over heat.

It means the rings on the pistons are so carbonized thay cannot move freely and therefore cannot make a good seal with the cylinder wall. Oil seeps by and burns, giving the blue smoke. The other half of the sentence is the other major cause of blue smoke. The rings might be in good shape and move freely, but if the cylinder is worn so much the rings no longer reach the walls, oil will seep by.

it means that your head gasket is shot. the smokes is blue because the gasket is melting to the cyclinder.
