No, I would not read their mind nor invade their privacy in any way. It might help with a young child, but even then it's an intrusion we did not have to endure. Are you having thoughts about the future and wondering what to expect? There's nothing to fear that we aren't vaguely aware of, but let's hope we have more amazing discoveries ahead. We don't have to fear the future as long as we enable ourselves to overcome all obstacles in the way of our own self-actualization and personal development.
If people read each other's minds, they would soon tire of it and do as they do now. They would want to go somewhere quiet and peaceful to get away from it all once in awhile. So we won't be surprised when someone turns around and asks us to shut-up, will we? We were merely thinking too loud! Don't worry. Peace. @8-)

It depends. I wouldn't want to constantly be reading everyone's mind without any control over it. A lot of times I don't want to know or don't care what someone is thinking and I want to just deal with my own thoughts. But if someone were in trouble or if I were trying to buy a new car, it would be handy!
No, I have a hard time thinking our thoughts will be monitored in the future... of course when I was a kid I wouldn't have believed I'd have two computers that can connect me with just about any info I might want very quickly, either, so who knows!
Let's just say, I hope not!

God, I hope to never hear what my boyfriend really thinks when he is being his wonderfully senseitive self, and handles a small confrontation with compassion, dignity, etc.
No, I think as much as I resent not knowing sometimes, we're safer this way.
