I have terrible credit - my name is on the Nationa CHEX System for owing a bank money in over draft fees and turning this in on my bankruptcy. I need a checking account / VISA ATM. Is there a ligitimate bank out there that doesn't look at CHEX System and doesn't cost a lot to get a checking account. HELP!

Look for a bank that does telecheck and does not do credit checks. There are still some banks left that do this. However, it might be a MasterCard debit card.

No there isn't. You'll have to pay your bill first and then you'll have to pay a fee to get your name off Check systems. Check Systems is a service very similar to your credit report, but only for checks. Once you clear that up, only then will you be able to get an account.

NOt really. I had to go to a chech cashing place, til it was off my credit report
