How many of you support taking God out of the courts, taking God off of our money and taking God out of our nation's Pledge? If so inclined, please explain why because I don't understand the stance AT ALL! Seems pointless!

Why was God added to the pledge 50 years after it was written? The only purpose in that was as an anti Soviet Cold War statement. We're not a christian, we're not a theocracy. God has no relevance to pledging allegiance to the flag and to the country.

Lets put Satan on the money instead if it means nothing .
In Satan we trust all others must pay cash .
I swear on Satan to tell the truth .
Satan was one of Gods angels according to the bible and was cast out of heaven .
We are all cast outs so why not invoke Satan as our symbol then .

Suddenly it all makes sense now that we have God on our money because we worship it just like God . Hardly anyone worships Satan so its a popularity thing I guess .

I suggest we put in man we trust . This would offend women and since no one has a clue about Gods sexual orientation then he could be she in the minds of women .

Its all a bunch of BS anyhow and you should concentrate on having fun in life . Indulge your self in all manner of pleasure cause when its over its over . If you live to be seventy do you want to be in a rocker going I should of just done that when I had the chance .
Do it now and forget about the future . It manages to handle itself if you remain aware of your surroundings . .

We live in a society which includes individuals and institutions who hold different beliefs and perspectives. One such belief and the way we as people, or groups see as being right for us, is whether or not this includes an acceptance of a God. In such a pluralistic society, ( which is the opposite of one based upon an ideology or creed,) it is important that a secular system respects this pluralism of thought and practice and reflects it in the ways you have suggested.

There should be no "god" in the court, in the Pledge or any public arena - unless one is fully able to define which god, whose god.....

As for god on our currency and on existing buildings - those are historic items and need not be changed. It is NOT the word "god" that is objectionable; it is the assumption made that all must believe in god, all must believe in YOUR god and all must be "god fearing". Until they can come up with a "universal god" that works for EVERYONE - and proof that such a mystical entity exists, then it has no place in the public.

Your "god" belongs in your home and your church.

This is simple. The vast majority of Americans believe in a God (of some sort). I think it's like 90%. Enough said.

The minority should shut the "hell" up.

I'm guessing you are christian.

Would you like to swear on Allah?

I say replace God by the Flying Spaggethi Monster. Pastafarian faith is the real one.

I think we should not profane the HOLY NAME OF GOD by placing Him on our money or in our motto. We are so far from a nation of God. God's people would not stand for abortion, pornography, gluttony, greed, drunkenness, etc... that our Nation stands for.

Although I am a conservative and agree with the basic premise of the founding fathers my fear is that a Majority in the future can use it against us. Like in the year 2054 the Islamic Majority makes it "In Allah we Trust" and "One Nation under Allah".

It is pointless. If they ever change the pledge, I will instruct my children to keep saying it the way they have since they started school. If God were left in a little bit more, then maybe our country would not have all the problems it is having today.

Doesn't that go against my freedom of religion?

I should have the right to have "In God We Trust" on our money and keep "One Nation Under God" in the pledge.
