Why are celebrities only asking questions about how to save our planet instead of doing something about it?

Nowadays we are witness more and more questions about how we can save our planet from people like Bono and so on. But you don't see them actualy doing something for the good of the planet (talking won't save the planet it will only rise your popularity up). Actually what I would like to know is why do we depend so much on others and by that neglect the things we could do?

Most celebrities are vastly hypocritical. They preach about poverty while living a lifestyle of total excess. They preach gun control and soon after get arrested with cocaine and guns in their car. They make movies about global warming and fly around the world on private jets while just the guesthouse of their mansion runs a $12,000 energy bill.

The good news is that more and more people are seeing them for what they are. Hopefully, enough will, and they will go back to hanging out in Hollywood where they belong instead of bothering the rest of us. Just because someone can sing or act does not make them an expert on foreign relations.

I agree there is a lot of talk. But I'm sure they realize they can't do it alone even with all the money they make. The key is public awareness and people listen to celebrities more than anyone else. With public awareness "we" as the public can demand more from politicians and ask for more laws and enforcement.

Kinda along the same lines, what ticks me off, is all these celebrities adopting babies from other countries and donating money to other countries when we have the same problems right here in the U.S. Charity begins at home, my grandmother use to say. I think they should spend more time solving problems here instead of abroad.
