There are 4 dimesions that we can experience and measure, although we can only travel in one direction through time, I wonder what the other dimensions are like.

You're refering to the other dimensions of string theory...which are supposedly compressed into an area that's smaller than measurable. It quite literally cannot be perceived directly.
Personally, I don't think it stops at just 11 dimensions...I beleive we live in a Universe with an infinite number of dimensions....no reason there can't be as many dimensions as there are numbers to denote them. The dimensions are ALL things measureable...both real and imagined. Anything you can conceive of that can be quantified in any numeric way can be a "dimension"...space and time are just the largest 4 dimensions that framework within them all the other dimensions.
Here's a concept...I beleive there exists a dimension for every individual in the universe that possesses conciousness and free choice...and the capacity is infinite.

Eugh string theory.

Anyway, the other 7 (or 5, or 12, 100, whatever you like really, they'll all be correct at some time) are thought to be very small and the 4 seen today were somehow chosen to be enlarged more than the others. But then some people say they aren't that small and maybe we will be able to see them under certain circumstances. It's all crap really, go read some proper physics.

I don't think that any higher dimension could be "like" anything that we could directly perceive. However, some have described beings that live there as "Self-Transforming Machine Elves." These hyper-dimensional beings are present but not seen in our 4 dimensional reality.

There are really only three dimensions, the fourth, "time" is a duplicate measure of space.

Anything over that has never been proven and probably never will be.
