Well Hassan, before I got married there was a point where I stopped going out of my way to be polite, because I knew that she hates me and talks badly behind my back, and that she will NEVER accept me. So I worked hard on the art of being the same to her. She was a devil woman that used to paddle boats down the river Styx, so I recognized that I will get treated NO better than that. I am polite to her, but I sure as heck have my opinions about the sorceress of destruction. LOL. It´s true though. Love and Respect.

I am very lucky, my husband and I live right across the street from his mother, and I have a great relationship with her. Its all about mutual respect. I respect that she is my husbands mom, and she respects the fact that I am his wife. She comes over once a week for dinner, and we go over there once a week as well. She realizes that her "baby" is now a grown up married man, and does not meddle. She's great!

I had a good relationship with my mother in law. Because I remembered she was always right and my husband was her baby that was never wrong. I just kept my mother shut and bared playing second fiddle during my marriage. While, my twin sister moved 3 hours away from her mother in law and it was wonderful. Move away!!!!!!!

become her friend. My mother in law and i became really good friends, while my husband was in iraq. we can talk about anything and are there for each other when needed. just have a close relationship with her.

Listen its goig to sad bad but the farther you live form the ***** the better. Therefore whenever you do get to see her she loves you and truly believes your the best thing for her baby boy!!!! I can't stnd mine and having ehr in Mex. whiel I'm in the states is the best thing truly!!!! God Bless and have a wonderful day!

I tried to like the first one I had, but couldn't.
The second one was easy. I love my mother in law. Everybody needs a mother in law like mine!!!
Seriously, just be yourself. If she don't like you, all the trying and ***-kissing in the world won't change it. Don't be snooty, but don't kiss her *** either. Good luck!

I guess you do not have to go out of your ways to please her. Be polite with her. If possible, do not get together with her so often. Did you watch the TV show "Everybody loves Raymond!"? When you live across the street with your in-laws, problems start to pop out.

Smile at her if you need too, remember she is your husband's wife so dont confide everything to her, and try to keep your distance sooner or later something will make her dislike you.
