How would I take a massive text file with data into it and send it into excel or csv?

What could I use to program this, JAVA, LabVIEW, C? Whatever I just need to take a txt file that has large amounts of numbers and quickly put into excel file or csv? How would I go about doing this?

I use Perl all the time to perform this task. just read each line in then manipulate it as needed add a "," separator between data fields and write it to a .csv file then import it to excel.

Maybe you could compress it and send it as a zip file.

use ultra edit then sql
