Today's Society considers Rude Behaviour in a rather large spectrum of personality nuances. Perhaps for more than what is deemed rude.
If you stand up for your own feelings and self worth they may consider that rude. If you don't take guff off anyone, they consider that rude. If you don't give up your time and money to some haphazard whimsical person, they consider you rude for not helping.
Rude to me is... If you do not consider the needs of the many and only of your own. If you have no diplomacy or tact. Over-bearing and self centered also comes to mind
