In the 50's, the most popular colors were pink and gray. The skirt (everyone HAD to have or WANTED to have) was gray, circular, and had a pink poodle sewed onto it. It is very important to remember to wear a tiny scarf around your neck, too, that matches. White Bucks were the shoes we wore, that were just sooo great! Pat Boone was really big then, and he wore white bucks, so guys and gals all wore them. Otherwise, you wore flats that matched. The other 'look' we had, was dyed to match. This is when the nice sweater we wore was EXACTLY the same color as the fitted skirt we wore. THAT was a really nice look. But, if you have a pink sweater and a swirley black or gray skirt, with black or pink flats, you will have the 50's retro look! It was fun dressing, then!
