They (NBA) considers Artest a problem child. When you get that label you are scrutinized more. For example Dennis Rodman. JKidd is like the poster child for the league thats why they blew his off. Artest stays in some type of trouble also and that doesn't help his character at all.

First of all, nobody here knows exactly what happened. It's always the man's fault because society is full of male bashers. Artest does have a checkered past but until the full facts are revealed nobody but those involved knows what happened.
Being kicked off the team is a knee-jerk reaction and baseless. Innocent until proven guilty should be the call.
Secondly, how contradictory the NBA is.
The NBA (read: David Stern) is intent on keeping the league a family friendly entertainment environment. Fine. Yet the Hip-Hop culture is perversly intertwined in most of the marketing of the sport. Have you seen a rap video lately? Gangster mentality, obsession with material goods, degrading women and portraying them as sex objects-only, blatent disregard with authority, glorfying drug use and other criminal behavior.
Also, many of the players have turned their bodies into a tattoo artist's playground. What kind of message are they sending by getting 'ink' all over their bodies including their neck?
Not to mention the way players react after a good play. Instead of smiling and laughing they will display an aggressive behavior by hitting each other on the head, back, chest, or display an angry, contorted facial expression, grunt, and yell. Is this how to show that you are having a good time? No wonder kids are messed up these days.
Or, like Kevin Garnett does, shout obscenities after a good play. 'Mother Fu*ker' has got to be his most favorite and commonly used expletive. 'Sh*t' is is second favorite after he makes a bad play. I like K.G.'s game and how much he gives to the community but how is he able to get away with all the profanity he uses during the game? I can hear it clearly on TV but no-one has ever said a word about it. Seems that the almight dollar has paid this off. Yeah, I said it!
If the NBA wants to create a positive, healthy atmosphere they need to start cleaning up the garbage and be responsible and consistant in their presentation of their sport.

Different team, different player, different case...
We don't know any details about either case so I don't think we can really discuss about the consequences of each.
All I know is that today, in our society, domestic violence is less hidden than before and taken more seriously.
From my point of view, I think it's all about the details of the case. It's simply two different cases and Artest's is probably worse than Kidd's.
I'd also like to say I appreciate what's been done right now concerning this arrestation. In real life, normal people get arrested for those things and often lose their job afterward. I don't think it should be different for a celebrity or anyone such. And I think this is a good thing to show people those men are not treated differently because they make millions.
And between you and me, which player has the worse record? Kidd or Artest? I think just by answering that you have a part of answer to your own question.

The difference is that Jason Kidd's wife is freakin nuts. Have you ever seen Jason Kidd behaving in an anything less than temperamental manner? Artest starts fights and loses his temper frequently. Kidd is a reasonable man, with an unreasonable wife. Kidd's wife is the source of the domestic violence, but Artest is more than likely the source of his own problems.

First off Jason Kidd is black too.
Second of all , Jason Kidd doesn't come off like the type that would beat his wife, where as w/ ron artest, it's not very suprising. Not just because of the Nba "brawl". He's always been known as a bad boy from the jump

Because Ron Artest has a history of problems (see: Palace Brawl). That domestic violence charge of Jason Kidd's was a one time situation. Yes, it might be unfair treatment, but hey, that's what you get when you don't change your ways.

For one thing, in Ron's case it's the man against whom the charge is made. In Jason's case, his wife is accused. That's the most obvious difference.
The difference in character is a matter of opinion, but I think very clear. Ron is not somebody I'd want my daughter dating. Jason is a gentleman with a strong work ethic, an all around great guy.

Because Ron has been under close watch since the Brawl he started in Detroit. He is a trouble maker and has major anger issues it seems. Not only that, he seems to be a distraction around the league.

relatives violence i any violence in a relatives difficulty. Rape involves penetration with the help of stress or coercion ("in case you do not have intercourse with me i bypass to overcome the @#@ out of you"). that must be rep with the help of coercion. So rape may be relatives violence, yet relatives violence isn't inevitably rape.
