My girlfriend told me she fantasizes about being with a large group of men. Like 10 men or more at one time. I don't understand the psychology. I looked on line but I was unable to read a good analysis of why women like group sex (gangbangs). Does anyone have any information on this? This is not a joke question, I am really interested. thanks.

Could very well be lack of self esteem... having many men pay attention to her is flattering so fantasizing about that could be that underlying problem.

I'd agree with the "being the center of attention" answers. If there's some low self esteem issues at play, being wanted and desired in such an unambiguous way would have a certain appeal I'd think.

think of it this way . sex is like a roller coaster. you are the coaster and she is the rider. each ride is different but still the ride only lasts so long once you have gone up the big climb and speed down the big hill the ride is over. now with more then one guy the coaster goes longer and has more ups they are higher each time and make that coaster 10x as long think about it how great she feels when you two reach your top place on the coaster. thats great but then the ride is over for her . she wants to ride the huge coaster 10 loops 10 hills 10 more curves who wont want to ride that coaster. come on .

Could be you just don't satisfy her and thinking of 10 fellas does the trick. :P
Fantasy and reality are two very different things. Reality doesn't always trump fantasy.
She could be an exhibitionist, she could be bipolar, she may suffer from abuse, she could be a very kinky girl, she could be a lot of things - one fantasy isn't enough to describe the psychology or motivation behind it.
Like one grain of salt in the sea.

It's really hard to analyze sexual fantasies, because they're usually coming from ten places at once and possibly intrinsically tied up with long-forgotten events. It's a common enough fantasy among women, just as three- or moresomes are common enough among men. Why? I dunno. Maybe for the same reason two cookies are better than one. Maybe it's all that stimulation- there are things twenty hands can do that two can't. Maybe it's just because it's really, really kinky and taboo. Who knows?

If I were you, I'd seriously sugest that your girlfriend seek psychological help. Those are feelings that can't be healthy for a relationship. The worst thing is that what would happen if she acted out on these urges??? That can't be good. There maybe some deep-rooted problems in her past that need to be addressed.

maybe she is trying to give you some hints...on the other hand, it could be that she craves attention from many men. either way, as long as she isn't acting out her "fantasies" then you should be okay, but consider some therapy...it could help you understand it more.
