what i wanna know here is the quality of the ipod, eg.durability, batt life,.....

Its awesome man!!

Pros:
It is user friendly.
It has a super duper clear screen for you to watch videos and look at your photos.
The battery can last you for quite some time if you just listen to music.

Cons:
You can only use iTunes to load stuff into your iPod.
Its mirrored back scratches easily but you can use a silicon skin.
Battery gets sapped very quickly if you listen to music and look at your photos at the same time.

I think its awesome.

9 months of constant use, charging it at any given point in time, that battery is still holding up like new. I have about 4,200 songs, and all of family guy on my 30gb iPod Video.

I have dropped it 4 times, once landing on the corner where my iPod protector doesn't cover. There is a nasty ding on the corner, but the iPod still works just fine.

I will admit, it is hard to keep looking flawless, so you do want a cover to keep the front nice and shiny, as well as the back..

If you ever do have a problem with an iPod, contact apple. They will send you a box with postage paid in which to return the ipod to them. They also cover the headphones, and the procedure to return those is the same. I believe they cover both the iPod and head phones for a year.

I will admit not being able to re-place your battery yourself is the only down-side. You CAN do it, they have the batteries out there, you just have to be brave enough to open the iPod yourself. (It isnt really hard)

Apples Replacement program charges:$65.95. The downside is, they give you a totally new/refurbished iPod, so make sure you have your songs backed up!
