I have signed up for Orange band and I cannot send emails. This is because I am unable to change the smtp settings to my own domain. Orange is forcing me to use theirs, which is no use to me. I have been using my own domain for years so I know that it is a problem with Orange. I have called them - NO JOY. I have set up a new account in Outlook - NO JOY. Keep getting the same message. Please help....

Setting up an account in Outlook should have worked. The only thing is you will have to make sure that the right server names are in the right spots for outgoing and incoming.
Some common server names are:
mail.yourdomain.com
smtp.yourdomain.com
pop.yourdomain.com

If you own the domain and you are having it hosted somewhere. you should be able to log on to your hosting provider and find out the name of your mail server. Sometimes hosting providers have a generic mail server name (such as mail.hostingprovider.com) and then in order to retrieve your email, you have to log on with your full email address (i.e. youremail@yourdomain.com) and password.

Sounds like "Orange" is a bad deal if they cant help you retrieve email from a third party.
