I know! Gosh! After Katrina in LA, they were desperate to get some help at the mcd's I go to an it takes about 10 mins just waiting in line for your food! Also, another ten for them to make it, and don't forget the order-takers that mess up your order....

This happens at my restaurant all the time. Its because we get way too much business at one time alot of time we only have 3 people one on front counter, me on drivethru and a cook that has to drop meat and make sandwiches.meanwhile we get a bus or someone with four orders on drivethru also people who order 20 cheeseburgers are supposed to come inside but they dont.Do you have any idea how long it takes one person to make twenty cheese burgers?at least 10 or 15 minutes. They have to be heated up ya know.

Most of the time, the restaurant needs to prepare the food, then they have to cook the food from scratch then the waiter/waitress has to serve it to you.
