Goodness, I am a college graduate, Microsoft Certified Professional and been in computers since the 1970's and the reason I am carefull with the pins is because I have messed up before. Yes, I have even accidently plugged the mouse into the keyboard port, more than once. The only difference between the successful person than the failure is that the successful person GETS UP one MORE TIME than what he failed. All of those friends and your boss has messed things up, just give them a laugh at your expense..the reason it is so funny to them is because they were in your shoes before.

I'm not a professional graduate. I have NEVER EVER bent any connectors. But I have fixed my friends who have done this they can be realigned. Use anything small enough to get the pins straight.
Personal I would be disturbed also I would have took the keyboard and whacked the boss over his head with it.

Hey Beginner
Let it go !! This person is probably well known as a "blow hard" anyway among your co workers-- and you are more than likely NOT this person's only "target of opportunity" !! Others at your work place have probably regularly come under fire from this person for little of nothing---people like that are just simply like that and most everybody that they work with know this---and--they probably don't have a lot of respect from their people there BECAUSE of this !!!
Replace the keyboard--- forget about it--- everybody makes mistakes--- and just go on---- time itself will deal with the Hard Butt !!!

keyboards are very cheap, you can get a new one for less than $10, unless you can straighten those pins back, if you're not careful enough, you could break the pins, so I would rather just buy a new one
