this has happened to me. i REALLY wanted to be pregnant after i miscarried on my first pregnancy. every month id wait on my period and if it was even a day late id convince myself i was pregnant. id feel sick, tired, sore boobs, everything then 3 days later my period would come.
if you are in the same situation, wait another few days then take another test or go to the dr and ask for a blood test to see if you are pregnant
some tests can also give a false reading. so try using a different brand.

The best way to find out if you are pregnant is to go to your doctor and find out for sure. If you have found out and know you are not and have the symptoms of pregnancy and it could be caused by a few things. If your gaining weight of course your breast in most cases will get bigger as well and may feel sore. The body changes in alot of ways after weight gain. A lot of women who want to have children will show alot of symptoms of pregnancy without being pregnant. It is not uncommon to have all the signs of pregnancy and not be pregnant or have only a few symptoms and be pregnant. If you have had a depoprovera shot in the past year and aren't having a period is normal but doesn't mean you are pregnant. Alot of women won't have a period up to a year or may never have a period again after using certain contraceptives for several years. The side effects of some contraceptives are weight gain. It is possible that you may be pregnant and it is too early to use a simple pregnancy test form the store and again it would be best to see your doctor to tell for sure. I would start by using the process of elimination and narrow down to what these symptoms could mean starting with what you eat, the medications you use and the side effects, and see a doctor to confirm your suspicions

Are you testing before your period is expected? If you are, the hormone could be in such small amounts that even a dr. blood test is neg. It happened with me. It could also depend on the type of test you're using. I got a positive on a clear blue digital 10 days after conception, but negatives on dr. blood tests and more accurate first response "pink lines" traditional tests. I would wait until 1 week after your period should have been OVER, then test. You'll save money in the mean time. You should take prenatals and "act pregnant" just in case and cut drinking and smoking. Trust your instincts...I did and now I'm 17w4d prego! Good Luck!

There are a lot of things that can produce a false negative in a home test. When was your last period? Are you late? I know one girl that took three home tests, all came back negative. Turns out she had smoked up the night before and it affected her hormone levels.
If you are late, go see your doctor. If you are not late, don't worry until you ARE late. Those home tests can't tell you anything until the hormone levels reach a certain point.
As for symptoms, they can be brought on by diet, medications, stress in your life... The body is a funny thing and does much to tell you if there is something wrong. The trick is figuring it out.

Try to calm down alittle bit, as being upset and nervous can make you skip your period and sick to your stomach.
If you haven't been to the doctor to get a blood test, I suggest you do. My urine test came up negative in 1998 and my 8 year old is in the 2nd grade, lol. Until the blood test, take a breather and get some rest...you might be stressed out!
p.s. Ignor these jackasses that make rude comments..they are probably pimple faced 12 year old geeks that skipped school and can't get past the porn lock on their parent's PC.

Retest or go to the doctor. It is also possible to convince your body that you are pregnant, thus resulting in a late period and having symptoms. All you can do is retest. Best of luck to you.

it is possible to have a false negative. wait a week and if you still think you might be do another test. If that's negative too speak to your doctor.
Good luck, hope you get the result you want.

Don't listen to the ignorant remarks on here. You could be pregnant and it is just too early for the test to be positive. Maybe your body hasn't produced enough HGC for the test to pick up. Well good luck and let us know what happens.
