From what I've read, the next arc (staring 04/23/07) will be the last for his particular storyline. The show isn't ending; they will just save the world. Then there'll be another mission - isn't there always. But Heroes has been picked up for a second season.

Last night's episode was the final chapter of the 2nd segment of the first season. This season of the show was broken into three "segments". The first segment was ended before the holidays. The second segment began in Jan. and ended last night. The final segment of the season begins April 23rd.

I initially heard that they were going to broadcast Heroes in 3 short segments, instead of in long annual seasons like other shows. Thus far, we've had the "Save the Cheerleader" segment, and the "Who's on the List?" segment, which is wrapping up now. The third segment will begin April 23rd. I'm not sure if there is going to still be a show after that.

Heroes is based on a comic book premise. When a chapter ends another storyline picks up....either something totally new or something that has been kind of hanging in the background...hopefully the heroes won't end up in brightly colored spandex with some cutesy name.....

Yes, Heroes has been renewed for a second season. The next episode isn't on until April 23rd, though.

Sucks to have to wait till almost end of April find out what happens next. I hope Peter kicks Sylar's azz ;) But it did look like Sylar was cutting up Peter's brain already. I am sure Peter can use Claire's healing capability to heal himself. So Linderman knows everything, what his deal? That chick who can morph into anyone is bad azz. I have so many questions. Is it April already? Grrrrrrrr ;)

The show is set for many more seasons.
The CHAPTER is ending. NOT the season.
Notice how each episode is a "chapter"?

I'm really hoping it only means the first season is ending. They have great ratings so surely they'll be back next year?
