Actually...a really cheap place to get a nice quality fish tank is at the fishstore. They usually get new ones every couple years and sell the old ones which are still in great shape.

my vote is for Craigslist.com I've got a few absolute steals from people on there. I got a 36 gallon bowfront corner tank for $30 on there.
You can't get any cheaper than people who forget to pay their electricity bill & need quick cash.
