At work, let's say the dress code says that if ladies can wear shorts instead of jeans, the shorts can't go more than 2 inches above the knees. That whole thing I think stinks, so what are some cool looking/good ideas for ladies to wear shorts so it won't look so boyish?

I hate dress codes. I work in an office that says I can't wear jeans, but I know how to dress a pair of jeans up! Yet, I have to be penalized because no one else does. Lame. As far as your shorts issue, just wear them with a cute flowy top, a fitted blazer or cardigan and a pair of cute pumps or sling-backs. I love that look!

Old Navy has tons of "culottes" or those long shorts in very different styles, some of them very girly. Look there.
