Area of a parallelogram formula

A = b h

A = 6.25(4.63)

A = 28.9375

- - - - - - - - -

7284 = truck weight empty

21495 = truck weight full of gasoling

Subtract 7284 from 21495

21495 - 7284 = 14211

Divide 14211 by 5.63

14211 / 5.63 = 2524.156306 gallons

2524 gallond rounded up

$ 18.23 = recieved for automobile milage

0.075 = amount allowed per mile

divide 18.23 by 0.075 to find milage

18.23 / 0.075 = 243.0666667 miles

243 miles rounded up

10. Multiply base times the height. The side is just extra usless information
11. Subtract the weight of the empty truck from the filled truck. That will give you the weight of the gas. Now divide that by 5.63 and that will give you the number of gallons.
12. Divide 18.23 dollars by your ratio of .075 dollars per mile.
13. Multiply each of the two ratios by the numbers your given respectively. That is 62.42 punds per cubic ft times 8 cubic feet; 8.34 punds per gallon times 60 gallons

#10
Area of a parallelogram is base * height. Use the 6.25 as the base, and 4.63 as height.

#11
Find:
Weight when filled - weight when empty
then divide by weight of gas

#12
Payment divided by cost per mile

#13
62.42 x 60 = ??
8.34 x 8 = ??

compare them and determine which is bigger. Subtract them to find out by how much.
