Hmm, well I am not a superstitious person so I personally never record my positions while studying nor do I believe it has any influence.
I will not scoff at your beliefs, so I will suggest the following in for you to answer your question.
1. Pick a favorite study spot and record your position, as you study.
2. Do some homework problems.
3. End day 1
4. Day 2: repeat step 1 and 2 but change your position.
5.end day 2
Just keep doing this until you feel that you are studying optimally, as I said I am not superstitious however just because i don't believe there will be an effect does not make me right in the slightest.
Perhaps you will prove me wrong by evaluating this.

Interesting question. I believe that everyone has a best position. It is up to you to figure that out though. Personally I find it hard to sleep in an east/west orientation and definitely do better work when facing north. My wife is also an north/south sleeper but she prefers to face west when working. just try facing the different directions and see which one suits you best
