UIC is considered to be overall the better school. It is the best public school in the Chicago area. It is rigorous. Also, UIC, unlike Urbana and DePaul, has a medical school. The medical school at Urbana is actually through UIC not UIUC.

Neither school is a great university. US News ranks both as third tier universities. It says that DePaul is Selective (which actually means "not that hard to get into") and UIC as "More Selective" (which means not quite as easy to get into). If these are your only two choices -- I'd say UIC.

However, if you really want to get into medical school -- you should really go to a university that is better than either of these. Coming out of a Junior College, you would have a hard time getting into a highly regarded private university -- but could get into a highly regarded state university. If you want to be somewhat close to Chicago, I think you ought to be looking at the main campus of the University of Illinois, Wisconsin or Purdue. Getting a good degree from one of those schools will give you a much better shot at getting into medical school.

rationalization: In Mandarin, flower is "hua". What you're referencing to is another type of chinese dialect. Get your data right now. that is rather derogatory and in no way humorous in any respect. i'm tempted to placed something the following that actual calls for viewer discretion.
