I have many ideas. Some I have worked upto somewhere in the middle. Some I have got the results but lack the refinement necessary for publication in journals. Some are worked just beyond mere ideas but I know (/feel) what I am thinking is true. The resources needed for research on my ideas are very meagre. Yet my retirement is very close. What to do with my unfinished researches, I don't know. Can anyone help?

You didn't specify what area(s) your work is in, but you may be able to hand off some of your ideas to others in your field that might be intersted in taking what you have accomplished to the next step(s).

Depending on the applicability of your work you may be able top negotiate some kind of compensation.

I suspect that many before you have anguished about that. I have two daughters (and I wouldn't trade them for anything), but no son. I often wonder if I had a son would he even be interested in the same things as I. Surely that would be the ideal way to handle your situation. But who knows.
I'm inclined to think that your ideas will die with you, but with your retirement near, maybe you should choose one (within your resources) and see it through. Who knows, some day we may be reading about a retiree that became wealthy with an idea.
Good luck to you.

If you'll soon be retired, take the time to finish all of that work and let your heirs enjoy the profits after you're gone.
