There is a particular thought expression concerning what you ask, it has to do with the physics trilogy: E = mc2, m = E/c2, and c2 = E/m. These three thoughts describe the basis of our physical existence. The part most interesting is likely that of the time value of the three. The singular value that does not change is that of the "c2" one, it remains constant even though it may increase in quantity. This value is that of physical time. It also describes why a gravitational field forms. In that physical time is the basis of our existence, we find that the past, present and future have a particular duration, which is equal to that of the speed of light. This trio of thought also says that it is impossible for mankind to have anything to do with the past (time travel) for all that exists in our universe is the "present". Lastly, it shows that all matter in our universe is made up of the same time value everywhere, demonstrating that matter, energy, and physical time are the same.
