How do you send emails to cell phones in form of a text message?

is it even possible? I get forwarded emails from others on my cell- i dont have internet access on the phone itself so i was wondering how people can send them.

I am thinking maybe if someone were to send it from Yahoo- would that work?

yes it's possible....you just have to know the "text message" email address from your carrier.

Here's the few I know:
cingular--- (your #)@mobile.mycingular.com
Verizon--(your#)@vtext.com

you have to activate your email access on your phone.
