Or is the world chaos because of emotions?

If anyone had too many emotions he would not be able to control his actions on a regular basis. If someone had too little emotions he would be lacking in ambition and would find it difficult to do even simple tasks. Emotion guides our way of thinking. We may not know what emotional stability is, but we do know exactly when we feel unstable. So I would say that moderation and balance of emotions is essential to establishing a well rounded and positive lifestyle.

This question actually crosses itself out. A big part of why we see the world as chaotic is because of our emotions. Because we "feel" that it is chaotic. However, without emotions, we would all be like living robots. Living robots don't care if their world is chaotic or not. Besides, with 'emotion' out and only 'logic' left, how can the world come into chaos. The world is too chaotic due in large part to our emotions. Just think about those suicide bombers.

I don´t think that the lack of emotions in the world would cause chaos. I rather think that that kind of world would be really cold and unpleasant, people would be like robots or machines, like Artificial Intelligent, they would be extra logical and analytical but not humane at all. Compassion and sympathy and empathy derive from the human ability to emotionally set oneself into another´s place.

It may seem that emotions could cause some chaos or be themselves chaotic, but I don´t think that is true. We need to balance our logical and emotional nature. I think that world´s chaos is because of ignorance and stupidity and blind greed, not the emotions.

The world is chaos whether I'm full or void of emotion.

If we were void of emotion, the world would be void as well. Everything that has ever been accomplished: every building, every road, every piece of art, has been created by humans because of emotion.
"I hate my neighbor and want to go to war with him. I need to get supplies to my troops faster - I'll build a road!"
"I am selfish. I don't want my serfs to run away and work for another lord, so I build them a little village and let them throw parties."
"I am very religious, so I will build this great big cathedral to show everyone how much I love God."

Without emotion, we would be like cattle wandering around and grazing for food, but accomplishing nothing.

Hi el. If you were void of emotion, but looked like 7 of 9 out of Voyager, then all would be well in the world!

I don't think that there is much of a correlation.

The chaos stems from not valuing others. If we started to follow the teachings of the great profits and started to "love our neighbors" the chaos would instantly disappear.

Love and blessings Don

I doubt it. The term "Emotion" contains many components. One of those components might be restraint. Without the emotion of restraint there might be chaos with respect to events or conditions that are controllable by those who show this emotion.
