Depending on the state you live in, many areas offer insurance coverage for pregnant women. I know it's hard. I used to work 2 jobs, and I didn't have insurance... I made JUST enough money to not be able to get medicaid but I didn't make enough to be able to afford the $400 monthly insurance costs. Please look at your state's website, just google your state name, and it will have a link to the state. gov. website. You will be able to navigate through health care to see if there is a plan for you! Best of luck dearest!!

It's not Medicare it's Medicaid. Anyone can get Medicaid... don't say anything about your income. Medicaid is all about not being able to afford health care while pregnant. I'm in the same situation. We make enough to care for a child... but when it comes to health insurance for a pregnancy, we don't have it. That's what it's there for, so use it. Income and father information isn't necessary until you want to continue with their help after the baby is 6 months.

Your incomes are not even close to the poor range so get with it and pay your bills.

You should have thought of these things before hgetting pregnant.

No it was not an accident at all. If you are old enough to have children they you sure should be old enough to think first.

I sue hope you are turned dfown where ever you go to get help.

medicaid takes the combined household income of both you and your husband.

some states do require your w-2 form and paychecks to PROVE you are within the income limits. virginia does...i know this from experience.

look up the medicaid office information in your area and give them a call. most likely they are located within, or near, your local county government office.

best of luck to you and your husband.

in addition to medicaid, you can also sign up for WIC, a program that provides you with pre-approved grocery items. ie fruits, vegetables, cereal, bread, milk, baby formula, dairy products, etc.

Probably not, but you should try anyway...i dont think its the idea of the salary but more or less the lack of insurance...so it wont hurt to try. Just explain that you are pregnant and everything and go from there

some states have a spend down program, they will take your income and determine how much you can afford for health care and every month once you have spent that determined amount they will pay any remaining bills that are over that amount. With his monthly income of nearly $3000, plus whatever you are making I doubt that you will qualify because of your earnings.

I think you mean medicaid. I would try if I was you. The only thing they can say is Yes or No.

I know your income is too high and there are probably a lot of people waiting for this kind of aid. You should still try wic.
