I can't see any sort of reaction from them to indicate that they find it pleasurable, not like with cats and dog

rabbits are not cats nor can you compare them to dogs, rabbits are rabbits. some rabbits love to be petted some don't. my little girl doesn't like to be petted other then when she is on the floor. when you rub you bun pet his/her on their cheeks, between the ears, and pet down their backs. pet the same way their fur goes. some rabbits don't like sitting in laps to be petted so try getting down on their level and seeing if they like it. rabbits can't wag their tails like dogs to show their love of affection but over time you'll see your rabbit learn to trust and love you when you give her attention. the house rabbit society has a great website it might be able to help you out too.

They do have reactions, they are just very subtile. If they like where you are rubbing them, they will grind their teeth, and if you listen closely(but it is easier to feel the vibrations) it sounds like purring. This is not to be confused with a different kind of grinding, very harsh which mean the rabbit is in pain.
Also, some bunnies will go into a transe, it is really cute.

Ours love to be rubbed and scratched just like dogs and cats. We have 2 lop bunnies who love to be scratched behind their ears, and all 3 of our rabbits love to be rubbed and petted. We know this because they "chatter" their teeth softly which is a sign of contentment similar to purring in cats.

Not trying to get away from you could be seen as a reaction. Yes, they like to be petted, and most like to be rubbed lightly between the ears. I used to have a bunny that LOVED going up to my daughters' school at lunch because all the kids would come over and give him lots of attention.

I think they do. I compare them to cats. I raised rabbits for 6 years. Some would come straight to the door to get scratched. Others would ignore your presence like some cats do.

If they don't show any reaction to the rubbing & scratching then I think they don't like to be touch or they might like but I have no idea if they do.

My flemish giant will automatically lower her head and stay still in a sort of trance when i pet her head. I think if she didnt like it she would have ran away.
