The pros are:
being able to call if you need help in an emergency
Being able to make and receive important calls
The cons are:
the cost to add text messaging and instant messaging and using the internet on the cell phone.
Also the pros are using Cingular now the new AT&T does not have a lot of extra charges for roaming. If your family and friends use Cingular then the calls you make or receive are free because Cingular calls it mobile to mobile usage.
I know there are other cell phone companies such as Verizon and Nextell or now Sprint you just need to ask about when you receive ar make calls if they use up your minutes.
Hope this helped if not feel free to post again .

the pros are you can call mostly anyone. you can text, im, and even go on the internet, and after a certain time you can call for free! The cons are you get roaming charges, monthly fees, and cost for the cell phone is around atleast maybe $50. then you have to even pay to keep it on!
