I think AOL is ripping me off with the speed im paying for.

2mb connection. not bad considering AOL's usual problems. if you are not paying for a 2mb connection and infact you wish to be on 8mb there yes they are ripping you off. otherwise that is a very consistent connection.

Did you try the nearest test to where you live ie london. If your not happy and you complain to AOL they are bound to say that the speedtest test is not accurate for whatever reason. That is what my isp told me when I complained about my speed on my HOME pc. I proved them wrong as I took some screenshots of speedtest and then my isp speed test from my WORKS computer and they were identical give or take a couple of kpbs.

Looks like AOL have got you on a 2Mb link.

You will never get 2Mb out of it though - that is the max theoretical speed.
