Taylor has an album out. Self titled, and it was released in December. Heard a couple of songs and don't really care for it. I don't think there's an American Idol curse for the winner. They've all done pretty well for themselves. Carrie Underwood has sold about 3 million albums and has had a hit on country radio non stop for the last year. Fantasia has had a couple of albums, and is about to star in a Broadway musical (I think The Color Purple). I do see Taylor being the biggest flop of all Idol winners, though.

I don't know where you've been but Carrie Underwood has been hitting it big in the country scene since she won. It usually take a year or two before the first alblum gets released (remember Kelly was season one winner (five years ago), so give it some time before you label Taylor as a "could have been"
