Faith isn't really something you can measure. It's only as powerful as its bearer makes it. Faith is when you believe in something despite the fact that there is no evidence that it will happen or that it exists. I'm not saying that we conciously choose how much faith we have in everything; I think that it goes deeper than that. I do believe that it is possible, however, for people to try and have faith in some things: other people, for example. The power of faith is relative to how much one truly believes something is possible. I think that, simply by having faith, one can change one's state of mind for the better. By having a more positive outlook on life, one inevitably distracts oneself from any negative occurences that may take place in one's life.
Knowing that someone else has faith in you can also make you feel better about yourself and, therefore, perform better in certain tasks or simply feel happier about your life in general.
Religious faith is really a different matter. I think that it can be very powerful for the people that have it. This kind of faith can have an extraordinary influence over the lives of believers, particularly in troubling times. In such times of difficulty, I believe that having faith in some sort of supreme power can help people to feel as though they are not alone. This can, once again, bring about a much more positive outlook on life. It can also give such people a sense of inner strength which, psychologically, is greatly beneficial to life itself.

As powerful as the actions of the person who has it.
A dictionary defines faith as "belief that is not based on proof" so it's pretty much up to the person having faith to decide whether to put much stock in it.

It took faith to build the pyriamids.
It took faith to get a man on the moon.
That's powerful!!!
However, "If I have faith enough to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing." (1 Cor 13)

you have to tell me first who or what you have FAITH for...
it's power is measured by what you believe in-
& if it's worthy to put all your FAITH into.

it's only as strong as you truly want it to be. it's completely up to you. you can choose to have faith or you can choose to continue through life without any hope at all.
