I have had two kids and cervical pains don't always mean labour. Sometimes it is just because the head may have moved further down the birth canal or the cervix may be starting to thin which can start to happen in the last 2 to 3 weeks to just prepare your body for labour. You can even be dilated 1 or 2cm for a week before the birth. Just make sure you have every thing packed for hospital just in case. Good Luck.

No not really, you'll have sharp pains in your vaginal area. Its just the weight of the baby and all that extra blood and things.

The feeling of your cervix thinning and dilating is the same as period cramps. Thats a sign of labor coming along. Although most women have those cramps for weeks and weeks before delivery.

not with cervical pains that is more than likely your cervix just thinning out so your body can prepare for delivery. You need contractions and/ or back labor to make you dilate to have the baby, best wishes and good luck

Not necessary. Only during contraction will you go into labor.
