At a Turquish embasy. Betty Mahmoody was a fearless women and in the movie she dressed in jeans which was forbidden in Iran. She dressed in a burca. I read the book and she was able to flee to America and hide her identity in fear that her husband may find her. I know that there is a sequel to the book titled "For the love of a child".

If it is the lifetime movie I am thinking of they end up taking a bus and getting to the border and back into america,.
