Its most easily absorbed into the skin to keep it hydrated and elastic. That's what helps your body to stretch as much as it can before the skin tears and leaves marks.
Theyre genetic, but theyre made much MUCH worse if your skin is dry and not elastic.

No, cocoa butter will not reduce your stretch marks. They are hereditary, so it doesn't matter what you do, if it is in your genes, then it's not going to work.
Your only hope for salvation is time. They will be nasty and red while your big and pregnant, and once that baby comes out, they will look shriveled and yucky. I was very annoyed with mine. But in time, they will eventually turn white, which may clash with your natual skin tone, but it's much better than the red.
I'm not trying to be mean, just honest. A lot of these people will praise cocoa butter, saying that they didn't have many or any stretch marks because of it, but more than likely, their genes made that decision, not the lotion.
Good luck with the new baby! :)

YES YES YES YES YES!!!! 100% pure cocoa butter works wonders! Now, Stretch marks are hereditary, which means.. if your mom got them, chances are pretty high you will to, HOWEVER cocoa butter is very great on minimizing and reducing stretch marks. Apply it at least 2-3 times a day, the best time is when you get out of the shower or bath. Good Luck

That's what they say but here's my story. I bought the Palmer's cocoa butter cream for stretch marks and I used it religiously however, I noticed that everytime I put it on I began to itch, and scratch. Well I later found out that scratching INCREASES the visibility and the number of stretch marks you get. So I started using baby oil and it worked wonders!!! My skin was health, smooth and glistened in the light!!!

I dunno but I've made a daily ritual out of rubbing it on twice a day. I didn't buy the cheap can of cocoa butter I bought the 7 dollar tube of cocoa butter for stretch marks so I hope that helps at least a little.

eh, in my experience NO. it just acts like any other lotion, conditioning and moisturising the skin. Stretch marks will fade to a silvery-white color after the birth, and the lotion dies help with itchiness/skin elasticity...but there's no "miracle cream" unfortunately.

Not scientifically proven. Apply moisterizer instead. After birth, have a good massage on your tummy and wear a good corset.
