ok.
there are 20 teams in the epl. they are listed in order of number of points and goal difference (no. of goals scored - no. of goals conceded).
the lowest 3 teams in terms of points and goal difference at the end of the season are relegated to the league championship. if by a strange coincidence 2 teams have the same number of points and the exact same goal difference there is a playoff for relegation...i have never heard of this happening though.
these three teams are replaced by the TOP 3 teams from the league championship for the next season.

the three teams which accumulated the least number of points at the end of the season will be relegated. should two or more teams are equal on points, the team which has the worst goal difference will be relegated.

the lat three teams with the least number of points are relegated to the next lower league.if suppose the points are the same then it depends on the goal difference which is actually difference in the number of goals scored by you and the goals given away by you.
