If she has been going to the doctor on a regular basis and each time the doctor says she is doing ok, then she most likely is. I'm sure the doctor would be worried if the baby wasn't growing at all, but at every checkup my doctor checks for growth and listens to the heartbeat. If your friend has been going regularly, the doctor has more than likely been doing all this too. She might just have a quiet baby, or maybe the baby only moves at night when your friend is asleep and doesn't notice the movements. Or, if she is overweight, she might just be unable to feel her baby move.

Every pregnant woman and baby is different. She may have a sleepy baby who likes to nap a lot!

If the doctors aren't worried then she is probably doing fine!

I would tell her to go to the ER. The baby should be moving every day. Maybe she is just not feeling it? Some really heavy people can have that problem. Does it have a heart beat? I would suggest she see a doctor ASAP and find a different OB if they can't give her a better answer than "ohhh it's nothing". Good luck to you and your friend.

The baby is running out of room to move about now if the doctor says its nothing then it is probally just that. If it worry's her have her go back to the doctor again and let him do an ultra-sound or simply to hear the baby's heartbeat that should put some ease to her mind! Good luck to the both of you!!!!!!!!

She needs to go to a different doctor or just go up to the ER and they will do an ultrasound to see how things are going. Doctors arent always trustworthy. I ve had to many bad experiences with them to trust what just one says. The baby should definitley be moving around by 30 weeks , especially since this is her 3rd baby!

If it doesnt move as much its okay, but if its not moved AT ALL she needs to see a different doctor ASAP.

How on earth does she not have the sense to seek care for her child? Tell her to go see another doctor. Her doctor is a fruit cake. And a dangerous one at that.

Have trust in the doctor. If not, consult a different doctor for a second opinion. Its not worth have second guess and get everybody worried.

I'd tell her to go see someone else if the doc says its fine. Im 21wks and been feeling baby like crazy for the past 2 wks.. so that doesnt seem normal. plz get her seen!

I think she should request an ultra-sound immediately. Usually the baby is quite active way before 30 weeks.

Well, when they check her over, they must be listening for a heartbeat etc. She should mention her concerns and they will investigate further.
