Yes. A blood test measures WHOLE hcg while a urien test will collect even PIECES. It's not likely but entirely possible.

That's strange. Its really hard to get a false positive on a hpt but a blood test is more effective. Something must have happened in the lab where the wrong blood must have been used. That is very common, trust me. Go back to the doctor and ask for another test, you have that right. The fact that you haven't had a period in 3 months, feel pregnant, and took hpt tests that came out positive leads me to believe that you are pregnant. Get on this right away, you need to know. Good luck to you.

false positives are common, but not too common. the blood test is more reliable than an ept and if your blood tests came back negative, chances are, you are not pregnant.
if your cycle still hasn't started in a few weeks, call your doctor and take an UN-USED home test with you to your appointment. take the home test AT the doc's office to show him your results and how they differ from his.
the thing about taking the test at home and then taking it to your appointment to show your ob/gyn is that after 10 minutes of taking the test, all results should be ignored. false positives can show up 10 minutes after an initial negative result that shows in a matter of seconds.
basically said, you can't rely on any test results that appear after the time limit.

You want to go to your OBGYN and ask for a qualitative hcg count. If there is a slight trace, they will ask you to come back in a week later and see if the value of the gene has increased.
You said that they did a blood test already. You should ask for a copy of the results and take it to a second doctor, or have the second doctor repreform the test.
Also, a home test would show up positive if you had a miscarriage. You might want to discuss that possibility with your doctor.

Go and get a second opinion from another doc. Take your positive home test with you to show them.

If you are under say ....40 this does not sound right. You need to have your doctor find out why you have not had your cycle in almost 3 months - not just give you a pregnancy test.

That is really weird. I would take another home pregnancy test and if it says positive again i would call the doctor and take the test with me.

You can't get false positives with the home tests - so I'd say you were pregnant. something obviously happened with the blood test - get it redone.

Go the a planned parenthood and take another one. If it says negative again, wait a week and take it again. Pregnancy tests are free. If it is still neg. go to your OBGYN.

you can still be pregnant. there are some factors to be considered why the result can be negative even if you are 3 months delayed in yoour period. try a second opinion.
