i got a new ipod video at christmas, and i've basically already downloaded music and videos, but i still have no clue what an podcast is! and i've been trying to figure it out, but i'm still majorly confused! can anyone help me?!?

a pod cast is what shows or radios put on so you could listen
for example
X-Play: if you looke them on i tunes you could sign up to download alot of the games they had reviewed in the last two years.
my brother has a radio thing and he gets free mixes by them.
its basically just a way for shows or radios to promote what their broadcasting (normally for free)
Itunes will download the newest podcast when you subscrive and the newest one everytime it is available or you could manually download an older one.
Your ipod will usually upload whichever you havent seen (unseen podcasts have a blue circle on the left) and remove the ones you have seen, unless you configure itunes to leave them all there and that you'll upload them, its that simple, nothing too brain teasing.... its just free stuff (mostly)

Podcast is pretty much a radio show that you can carry around on your ipod. You can listen to it anytime you want to, but unlike the radio you'll need to of course keep importing the following episodes of the show on to your ipod. If you subscribe to the podcast, I'm pretty sure it'll readily be available on your itunes, so when you hook your ipod to your PC or Mac you can automatically import it.

it's sort of like an online radio program. since you have an ipod, you can go to itunes music store and click on the podcast link on the top left side of the page. there are hundreds of different podcasts, like music, news, comedy etc.

Podcasts are awesome! You can get them through iTunes and they are FREE! They are like radio shows on any topic you can think of, and most of them are commercial free. Do you like science? Look for the Naked Scientists. (They aren't really naked and it's not dirty... they are British.) Did you ever listen to Loveline with Dr. Drew and Adam Carolla? You can get the Loveline Archives as podcasts! I love podcasts! Just download a couple on your favorite topics and check them out... their free so it doesn't matter if you don't like them.
