Al is a joke. Like all the rest, there he is like a maggot on dead meat when something arises that he doesnt like. He likes to be seen on TV struting around sticking his nose into things. Remember this fool when the Tawaiana Brawley case arose in New York. He supported her and they found out she was lieing about the police. get a life Al and a real job......sucker!!

No, not ironic at all. I must admit that though I am a conservative white guy, I find the Reverend Al to be one of the sharpest speakers around. He has a great sense of humor, excellent command of the language, and is always letting the audience in on the joke. He is refreshing when compared to the bunch of dead-men-walking now running for office.

How is that ironic? He is a black American. Most of the blacks in the United States are descended from slaves.

hes an advocate for what he his. im sure he knew that he was a descendent of slaves, thus giving him even more conviction in what hes working towards.

Why would this be ironic. I would imagine that all African-Americans in this country can trace their roots to slaves.

The Irony is that he very well might be a descendant of Strom Thurmond's family.

No, considering how many african americans have ancestors who were slaves. Read the bible, at some point in history, we have all had ancestors who were slaves. Thank you.
