Babycenter.com has a lot of great information on ovulation. I also swaer by the ovulation kits from the drug store. They worked for me and two of my friends within two months. They're just like a pregnany test. Pee on the stick and it will tell you if you're ovulating. Good luck!

Count 14 days from the first day of your last period. Keeping this date in mind, and about a week leading up to it, start looking out for a slippy white discharge a bit like egg whites(you have probably noticed this before without realising) feeling hot, a pain in your side and sometimes feeling sick and head-achy. Most people who have a regular cycle ovulate at this time but by looking out for the symptoms yourself you can pin point it better. Have sex every other day around this time for your best chance to conceive. Dont save up sperm especially as you want it fresh, if sperm is left sitting some of it dies and it also loses quality. Sperm will live a while inside you so you dont need to be at it like rabbits every day! good luck x

Generally 14 days before the start of your next period. Only if you have regular 28 day cycles you can work on the 14 days after the first day of your last menstrual cycle rule, other wise not. Check your CM (cervical mucus) infertile days will hield a thick cloudy CM, fertile days : stretchable egg white consistency. BBT (basal body temperature) also could help, with ovulation occurring anywhere between sudden drop in BBT and rise straight after initial drop rising over the pre-drop BBT. Hope this helps!

if your periods are 28 days and regular, you ovulate on day 14.
if you want to get pregnant, try having sex 2-3 times a day on days 11-12-13-and 14. (you go wearly because semen can live up to 96 hours inside the female)
