Post independence period of India is just 60 years. USA has a history of more than 200 years (America separated from it's colonial sister in the year 1776).
Since independence India has face a lot of problems - 3 wars, riots, etc. Inspite of thes problems, India has managed to develop it's economy. India also achieved a remarkable psoition in the world super powers chart.
Since independence, the literacy rate grew from 18.33 percent in 1951, to 28.30 percent in 1961, 34.45 percent in 1971, 43.57 percent in 1981, 52.21 percent in 1991, and 64.84 percent in 2001. During the same period, the population grew from 361 million to 1,028 million.
Development of country depends on development of it's citizens. It's a long way to go,but I believe our efforts could make the dream come true soon.
All the best...
:-)

INDIANS OR INDIA?
You know one thing, the politicians who really want to develop the country and getting saturation in all the fields then only we think about is getting development.First of all any country wants to develop ,it should have been got very good infrastructure, less in poverty, rich in education, interchanging of natural resources, free from corruption and etc.
These kind of things are abundantly available in India, but Indians are wasting their votes to unwanted candidate.finally they unable to live up to the mark..Horrible..we hope India is shining......
