How would a MAC address be floating around the 'Net? IP, yes, but I have hard time to imagine a MAC.

Anyway, IP addresses are elemental to the functioning of 'Net and MAC addresses are elemental to the functioning of your network adapter in whatever form these are. You should not even consider controlling the visibility of those IDs.
