How do take my blog page off the web so that it does not come up in a web search without deleting me actually deleting it.

You can exclude certain pages that you do not want showing up in a web search very easily.

There is a meta tag that you can use to exclude the search engines from including that paticular page in their search results. An example of this tag looks like this:



By using any of these content values you can tell the spider:

NOINDEX: Do not show this page for search reslults.
NOFOLLOW: Do not count the links on this page towards page result calculations. This page will not, as Google puts it, vote for other pages.
NOCACHE: Do not store information about this page in the search engine. This is a good tag to use if you are worried about having duplicate content on pages and you dont want one of them to come up in the search engines.

NOARCHIVE: Do not store archives of this page.

That meta tag should be included in the HEAD section of your code. That would be between the and the tags.
