I asked my local branch for a list of all charges applied to my account, using the web site wwwmoneysavingexpert.com it gives you step by step advice on what to do. I received a reply today stating in the interests of customer service they have ordered the information I require free of charge instead of the normal charge of £10.00 for which I sent a cheque which has been returned. The information will be with me in the next 14 days. Plus there's no need to take it to court you can alway's go to the ombudsman. This web site also gave me lots of help so Good Luck and don't give up!!!!! Any further information I receive I will forward to this web site

I am in the process of obtaining charges from Halifax - so far they have been very helpful indeed. Most courteous even when the woke me up at 8am today!
The thingto remember is that you will ususally receive a letter saying no or a letter offering you partial settlement but be firm and you will win your case. I have so far got charges back from 8 different companies.
Good luck
