funny question. i would have said none but after reading the answer from susieq my answer is:

not ending up in some loveless marriage to a hate-filled bigoted imbecilic shrew like susieq...i feel really sorry for her husband, children, grandchildren, and anyone else in her life.

Well for one, the experience of being "different" and the oppressive experiences we've endured allow us to speak with some authority on such matters. Also, we often get to construct our own identities, rather than merely "inheriting" them from parents or peers. Although these things are not easy, and often unpleasant, I do believe they tend to result in a somewhat more sophisticated or nuanced understanding of the world, others, and ourselves.

I would have mentioned childlessness as a huge advantage, but lately it seems more homosexual couples have been taking on the responsibilities of parenthood, whereas more and more heterosexual couples are either postponing childbirth or have decided not to have any at all. (Good for them!)

If we can find homes for the children who are here and need a family, that's fantastic. But there are more than enough human beings on the planet already.

This is both a preposterous and an irresponsible question to post. We are looking to be treated as equals and here you are, asking about advantages?

There are none! I don't want any - I just want to be accepted for who and what I am; without prejudice and with equal rights under the law.
